A Note to Mail-in Voters

In late 2025, USPS updated its postmarking process, which could affect mail-in-voter ballot eligibility. To ensure your ballot receives the right postmark:

  • Take the item directly to a Post Office and ask for a manual postmark.
(You can watch the postal worker affix the dated stamp in front of you.)
  • Mail your ballot sooner than your normally do. It can take several days to weeks for mail to make it to a regional facility.
  • Use certified mail or another USPS add-on service. This can provide extra insurances and proof of your mail-in ballot's status, should it be contested.
  • Use a third-party, paid option like as UPS or FedEx for delivery where you can confirm the date postmark.

We highly encourage Vote By Mail voters to sign up for Ballottrax, a free service that allows you to track your mail-in ballot and receive notifications when your ballot reaches certain milestones.

Candidate Forums and Voter-Education Events

The League of Women Voters of Elmhurst recently hosted a moderated candidate forum for DuPage Countywide Candidates on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Elmhurst City Hall.

These forums gave voters the opportunity to hear directly from candidates, learn about their priorities, and better understand the issues shaping DuPage County ahead of the Primary General Election on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Note: There are two contested Republican races featuring four candidates (each of whom the LWV Elmhurst invited to participate in our forum). Although we sent several invitations to these candidates, we received no responses. As a result, the aforementioned races were not featured in our forum.
